Hospital Staff Snooping on Britney

The Los Angeles Times has reported that UCLA Medical Center is taking disciplinary action on some of its employees for unauthorized peeking into Britney Spears confidential files, according to the Los Angeles Times. Thirteen employees are on the firing block and six others face suspension for allegedly snooping into Britney’s records while she was admitted into the psyc ward back in February. Some doctors are also reportedly facing disciplinary action or possible dismissal. “Employees are prohibited from to reading records unless they are directly caring for the patient. It is considered a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
This is the second time hospital staffers have checked out Britney’s confidential files; A few workers were fired and some others disciplined at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital when it became known that they had snooped shortly after Britney gave birth to her first son Sean Preston in September 2005.
