Ok, so American Greeting has decided that Strawberry Shortcake needed another makeover. They straightened her hair, gave her some extensions, put her on a strict diet, and took away her kitty and gave her a cell phone. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that they gave her green contacts too.

Normally I don’t like when people mess with classics but I have to say I much prefer the latest Strawberry Shortcake as she is much more ‘with the times’. I guess a fat little muffin girl just wasn’t hot enough for today’s little girls.  American Greeting probably thought that they couldn’t ‘relate’ with her.

At least she doesn’t look like a skank or anything..she still seems pretty sweet and innocent.  I used to adore Strawberry Shortcake but I am looking at the picture of her and I have to say she wasn’t nearly as attractive as say Barbie. (You could argue that was part of her charm though?)
